Prior to founding The Market Place, Tracy gained more than 20 years’ experience in marketing, sales and revenue management through roles in leisure, tourism, hospitality and retail. An experienced event manager, writer and local food specialist, Tracy is the owner and founder of collective marketing initiative LocalFoodBritain.com. She sits on the Board of Surrey’s official tourism organisation, Visit Surrey; is a member of the Local Action Group which helps agree LEADER scheme funding from DEFRA for Surrey businesses, communities and farmers, and is a judge for the Quality Food Awards and Great Taste Awards.
Angela has worked in marketing for more than 20 years, and holds a Chartered Institute of Marketing Diploma. Her attention to detail, enthusiasm and ability to deliver projects on time are appreciated by clients, especially when they are busy running their businesses and need someone to keep their marketing on track. She manages a number of key accounts and has been instrumental to the success of our sister business LocalFoodBritain.com.
A journalist and former editor, Zabian has worked across every aspect of magazine production. She is used to juggling deadlines - always with an admirable air of calm - and is skilled at research and copywriting. She mostly concentrates on content creation for Local Food Britain as well as database management for clients.
Caroline is the former editor of Surrey Life magazine, bringing extensive expertise in copywriting and editing, story placement and public relations, and is a trusted advisor to The Market Place. She was named by the Chambers of Commerce as one of the Top 10 Businesswomen in Surrey, interviewed both Dame Judi Dench and Sir David Attenborough, and has served on the judging panel in the publishing industry’s PPA Awards. She was also very involved in establishing the Surrey Life Food & Drink Awards, of which The Market Place is an official partner, and which has now grown into the county’s leading event of its kind.
After completing his marketing degree and journalistic training, Matt's talent for writing led him through the doors of Surrey Life magazine. Here he spent a decade and became assistant editor, as well as launching and managing the magazine’s social media channels and running their website. A keen foodie, he has been Surrey Life’s restaurant reviewer since 2010 and was head judge of the Surrey Life Food & Drink Awards.
Jo's many years of experience in event and project management are invaluable, enabling her to work skilfully across a number of key projects. A grocer’s daughter, Jo gained an early appreciation of local produce and the benefits of supporting local businesses, so she is in her element in her role as membership co-ordinator for Local Food Britain.
A successful restaurateur for 20 years, Sheila owned a small group of modern British and European restaurants, and was a columnist for the Liverpool Echo, sharing her knowledge for food and support of local producers. Now based in Surrey, she is a sought-after adviser to chefs, restaurant owners and publicans. With a great deal of experience and natural flair for interior design, Sheila is also a tremendous asset during refurbishment and for new start-ups, including retail-led artisan projects and shops. Buying and sourcing food, gifts and bespoke furnishings is a speciality as well as a real passion.
Keely is a highly-skilled journalist, PR, and former editor of an award-winning retail magazine. With her proven track record of achieving local, regional and national coverage, and over 30 years' journalistic experience, she is adept at creating ideas for our clients, from news stories to PR campaigns, for maximum coverage and interaction. She is also a talented photographer who knows just what pictures the press need.
